Bloody Sunday Victims Ignored

Today in the Dail, Sinn Fein President Mary Lou McDonald today condemned the decision of the Prosecution Service in the North to only press charges against one soldier present at the killing 13 civilians in Derry on Bloody Sunday 1972.

This is another in setback in the quest for justice for the families of those killed and injured on the day. The British Government refuse to implement the Stormont House Agreement and continue to cover up the actions of their military in their dirty war in Ireland.

A straight forward request from Mary Lou was met with a complete non-answer from the Taoiseach. It seems the Irish Government has no position on the continuing coverup and will leave the responsibility of pursuing justice up to families.
