See You In Court – EU To Britain

Today the EU restarted legal action against the British Government for refusing to honor their obligations under their Brexit Agreement.
This legal action had been suspended as a measure of good faith by the EU in their ongoing talks with the British Government.
On Monday the British government unveiled plans to break international law and impose their demands on the EU.
The EU has responded by restarting the legal action and adding further breaches of the agreement by the British Government.
Speaking today in Brussels European Commission vice-president Maroš Šefčovič said about the British Government proposals, “Let there be no doubt: there is no legal nor political justification whatsoever for unilaterally changing an international agreement…..So let's call a spade a spade: this is illegal.”
The EU remains committed to finding an agreed way to implement the agreement, while the British government continues to hold out to impose its demands.

Sinn Féin First Minister (Designate) Michelle O’Neill said, “The Protocol is working and is supported by a majority of MLAs and the overwhelming majority of businesses. The northern economy is outperforming others, business is growing and new jobs are being created.
''The actions of Boris Johnson and his government are dangerous, they are a clear breach of international law and they threaten to undermine the Good Friday Agreement.
