Sinn Féin Leads Poll With a Week To Go To The Election

The people of the North of Ireland elect and new Assembly and Executive on May 5th.

With less than a week to go, the latest poll for the Belfast Telegraph has Sinn Féin leading in terms of party support.

While the party is in a strong position it is taking nothing for granted. An election system is a form of Proportional Representation with each constituency electing 5 MLA's. You can vote down the ticket, ranking each candidate by preference.

So being the largest in terms of the popular vote may not secure the highest number of seats.

In this election, every vote and every preference will count.
