Sinn Féin’s 2023 Ard Fheis to take place in Athlone

Speaking in advance of the Sinn Féin Ard Fheis being held in the Technological University of Shannon Campus in Athlone, County Westmeath on Friday 10th November and Saturday 11th November, Sinn Féin’s Deputy Dáil Leader Pearse Doherty TD has said, ”We are on the countdown to the next General Election and the Sinn Féin Ard Fheis this weekend is about setting out the type of change that a Sinn Féin government will deliver if the people give us that opportunity.

“It is an Ard Fheis all about the future, about hope and opportunity.

“We will be setting out our plan to build a better, fairer country for all, for positive change and transformation.

“The housing crisis is the government’s greatest failure and ending the housing crisis is Sinn Féin’s number one priority. We will be setting out our plan to fix the housing crisis, to build homes and cut rents.

“The choice at the next election is a worsening housing crisis under Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael or a Sinn Féin led government that will fix the housing crisis, once and for all.

“Our focus will be on electing enough Sinn Féin TD’s to form a government without Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil after the next general election so that we can deliver real change. ​ “First Minister Designate Michelle O’Neill stands ready to lead an Assembly and Executive for all, and this weekend she will set out the type of change she wants to deliver if she becomes First Minister in the coming weeks.

“Change starts at the local and European elections next June and Sinn Féin is focused on electing the largest number possible of Sinn Féin councillors and MEPs and hundreds of local candidates will be in attendance at the Ard Fheis in Athlone this weekend.”
