Twitter Troll Unmasked

Columnist outed as a notorious anti-Sinn Féin Twitter troll.

Last night the Sunday Independent sacked one of its leading columnists, Eoghan Harris.

It has also been suggested that he advised Taoiseach Micheal Martin.

His column in the Sunday Independent regularly attacked Sinn Féin and Irish Republicanism.

However, it seems that the columnist also set up a fake Twitter account that regularly abused fellow journalists/commentators, as well as attacking supporters of Irish Unity. It seems that a defamation case forced Twitter to reveal who was behind the account.

Questions remain as to who else was involved in the account and his relationship as an advisor to the Taoiseach.

Hopefully, this is the end of this odious account and time for the Irish media to take a hard look at the characters they promote as commentators.
